BIO
I’m Shelley Di Tommaso and I was introduced to pharmaceutical development while employed as a clinical research coordinator for a gastroenterology practice. Working with patients, and managing protocol and site operations provided a valuable perspective into the lives of patients, their unmet medical needs, and their experiences participating in clinical trials. This early experience also engrained a recognition that conducting human research is a privilege that creates obligations to perform any job related to clinical research and drug development with unwavering integrity.
After several years in academic clinical research, I moved to Switzerland in 2003 to work at the Novartis headquarters in Basel. At Novartis, I acquired extensive experience in drug development, full lifecycle development, and global development operations. While in Switzerland, I also worked several years at Actelion gaining medical affairs and late phase development expertise.
I moved back to the US in late 2017 and have since worked for clinical stage, pre-commercial biotech companies. I have successfully adapted experience from larger corporate environments to effectively scale operations in small and growing companies. I attribute my professional achievements to establishing trustful partnerships, maintaining adaptability, and having a results and quality driven mindset.
I look forward to working with you.
